August 31, 2010 Dear Grantmakers Without Borders Members and Friends: On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce that Pete Stanga has been selected to be Gw/oB's Interim Executive Director. Pete was chosen from a field of excellent candidates in the field of philanthropy to lead Gw/oB during this important transition. Pete has demonstrated his leadership and commitment to Gw/oB in many ways over the years, having served on Gw/oB's Board of Directors as Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee since 2007. He brings a wealth of professional expertise and experience to Gw/oB during this very important time in the organization's history. Pete has 15 years of experience in supporting community-based development and human rights initiatives in the global South, recently serving as Executive Director of Gw/oB member organization IDEX (International Development Exchange) for six years.
