Oxfam America
Oxfam America is the U.S. branch of Oxfam International, an independent organization, unusually responsive for an organization of its size. In addition to emergency relief, Oxfam supports grassroots development projects and campaigns for poverty reduction. Accepts donations on-line.

A project of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Designed to support humanitarian crisis early warning, contingency planning, response and recovery.

UN agency charged with mobilising and coordinating the collective disaster relief efforts of the international community. Expansion of information found on ReliefWeb, including background and pre-disaster contingency planning.

Doctors without Borders
The organization received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999. Donations accepted on-line. The site features news updates, special reports and campaigns..

AlertNet
Reuters news and communications service for emergency relief and aid agencies. Information on site includes top Reuters stories, news releases from charities, analysis of development and relief issues, feature articles and appeals for help.

Emergency Humanitarian Assistance
A division of the World Health Organization, the EHA site carries health-related information on disasters, links, guidelines and contingency planning.

Action Against Hunger
Action Against Hunger-USA is an international organization which is committed to the fight against famine and malnutrition worldwide. The organization provides emergency relief and supports development projects.
